Enrollment & Registration
Pre-registration for the next school year was completed for Kapa’a Middle students and Hanalei, Kapa’a, Kilauea, Wilcox and King Kaumuali’i Elementary students in February 2021. A registration form should already have been submitted to indicate that your child will be attending Kapa’a Middle School. All other students who haven’t already done so, and new students at Kapaa Middle School need to enroll with the Registrar at the school’s office during the summer.
Students transferring from a public or private school must withdraw from their previous school before enrolling at Kapa’a Middle School. When coming to enroll your child, you will need to bring the following documents:
- Your child’s birth certificate
- Your child’s health and immunization records
- The release/withdrawal paper from your child’s previous school
- Your child’s last report card from their previous school
- Legal documents such as guardianship, adoption, custody, name changes, Power of Attorney, etc., if applicable
If you have any questions regarding the above, contact the Registrar at 821-4470 ext. 238.
An online registration system is available to enroll students for the upcoming school year. The system allows for the enrollment of new students who were not enrolled at a public or charter school during the 2019-20 school year. Visit bit.ly/HIDOE-enroll for more information and step-by-step instructions or see the attached document below.
Student enrollment forms and required documents will still be accepted by mail. Parents and guardians please contact the school for office hours and additional instructions. For student transfers and withdrawals that need to be addressed with our school, please call 808-821-4460.
